Tshirt designer Everlane is set to re-design its iconic shirts.
The company is preparing to launch the shirt with a new colour and material design that it says will offer “the most versatile and practical shirt available today”.

It is also the first ever ever Everlane shirt to feature a graphic design that is not only a symbol of the brand’s iconic colours, but also incorporates a design that’s not just a symbol, but is actually the brand name itself.
The new design is called “the military t shirt”.
The military shirt is the first Everlane t-shirt to feature the graphic design, and is the latest in the everlane range of t-shirts.
“We wanted to deliver something that was both stylish and practical,” said chief executive John Smith.
“It’s a design element that has been at the core of our product for the past 30 years.”
The military t-shirt was created in the early 1980s, when Everlane was already known for its “never-ending supply of military-inspired shirts”.
Everlane has since produced a range of military shirts including the “Never-Ending Supply of Military-Inspired Shirt” and “Never Ever Ending Supply of American T-shirts”.
“It was a very, very exciting time for us to be working with the US military,” said Mr Smith.
The military tee is now available in Australia and New Zealand.
The shirt is currently on sale at all retailers and online, but the re-branding is expected to be rolled out across the entire range.
“The military T-shirt was a product that we felt really strongly about, but it was a really big part of our brand and it was just the perfect fit,” said Everlane’s chief creative officer, David Mancini.
“With a new graphic design it really reflects that, it’s a really different look and a different feeling to it.
It really speaks to our commitment to the military and the American people.”
The new shirt is being designed by a team of graphic designers, designers and engineers from the company’s design and design services department.
The designs are being delivered to the US army, Australian Navy and US military agencies.
The Army will be able to pick the new shirt up at the stores and online at www.everlane.com.au.
“There’s a new, exciting look coming out of the US, and it’s not only going to be in stores, it will be on our website as well,” said Army Commander Mark Gannon.
“That will be a great thing for the people in Australia to know.”
Mr Mancin said that the military tee was designed to represent the current military uniform, and that it was also a nod to the American military’s role in protecting the US.
“As we go through this transition from the Cold War to the 21st century, there are still some things that we feel we need to protect,” he said.
“One of those things is our military, so we’re very proud to have been part of that process.”
