Inter Milan boss Stefano Pioli has declared the first-team squad he inherited as “strong and united”.
The club’s new-look squad, with goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and defenders Gianlucca Pavarotti and Daniele De Rossi also joining the squad, are the same as last season’s but without the Argentine international Buffon.
Pioli says the team has been “well organised” and the new arrivals “totally complement each other” and he says his players are “more focused”.
He added: “It’s a new start, a new era.
I am delighted with the way the players have responded and the way we have played.
We are not afraid of any opponent, so we’re not afraid to go out there and play.”
Piolis will make his first appearance in charge of Inter on Saturday at the San Siro, as the club face AC Milan.
