A collection of Columbia T shirts has sold for more than $1 million on eBay, marking the first time the brand has ever sold its entire collection online.
A spokesperson for the retailer confirmed the sale on Monday.
“We have been making great strides in the recent years, and with this milestone we’re pleased to finally be able to share the proceeds from our sales with our customers,” the spokesperson told CBC News.
The sale comes a few months after the company began selling T shirts in a number of retailers across Canada.
Columbia, a British Columbia-based clothing company, has had some success with its T-shirts, including in the summer of 2017 when it sold 1,000 of its t-shirts to Target.
The retailer has since expanded its offerings, including the brand’s T-shirt collection.
The collection has sold over 1.5 million items, and has become a global phenomenon, earning Columbia a spot on The Economist’s list of the most valuable companies in the world.
